Habana, Cuba

Honoring Columbus

San Cristobal

When it was founded in 1519, the original name given to Cuba’s capital city was San Cristóbal (which means St. Christopher in honor of Christopher Columbus). The San Cristóbal de la Habana brand, which is one of the latest Cuban cigar brands launched in 1996, inherits the original name of La Habana.

San Cristobal has a range of four vitolas, each named after a fortress that defended the city in the days when Havana was the hub of Spain’s South American empire.  Two of the sizes, La Fuerza and El Morro, are relatively new and quite unique to the San Cristóbal brand.   All San Cristobal cigars are fragrant and rich in flavor and are known to age very well.
