Habana, Cuba

For Connoisseurs

Ramon Allones

In 1837, Ramon Allones, an immigrant to Cuba from Galicia, Spain founded this brand. He set his mark on the Havana trade by originating the use of colorful lithographs to decorate his boxes, an innovation soon copied by his competitors. From 1911 to 1927, Hunters & Frankau owned the Ramon Allones brand and factory in Havana, before it was sold to the makers of Partagas.

Today, the Ramon Allones cigars are rolled in the Partagas factory, which specializes in full-bodied cigars.  Characteristics of the brand include lovely dark wrappers, quality construction, excellent burning qualities, a rich flavor, and wonderful aroma.  Over a century and a half later, the robust blend of tobacco preferred by its founder is faithfully maintained.  These may not be the best known of the Cuban brands, but they are among the most respected by connoisseurs, consistently ranking at the top of the medium-price range.  These cigars will not disappoint those looking for complex, deep flavors.
